M.A., B.A. Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy

Luba O’Neill
Counsellor & Psychotherapist

After twenty years in the Multinational industry, Luba spent a number of years re-educating herself in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. Working with people as a Psychotherapist was always an ambition and when the opportunity presented itself Luba embraced it and now works a Counselling field. Luba’s approach in therapy although theoretically integrated and practically multifaceted is also simple – she holds a firm belief that each person possesses the inner capability to address and solve their issues and problems. Luba facilitates a supportive and non-judgemental space for this to unfold.

Experience

In the past Luba worked in a Youth Service in North Kildare and in a Counselling Centre in Dublin South West. Working with adults, parents and young people looks for diplomacy and directiveness. Consequently,  Luba is met with a diverse range of issues such as mental and physical abuse, stress, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, self-regulation, loss of employment and bereavement.

Besides Luba specialises in Short Term Solution Focused Therapy. This is achieved by working collaboratively with the Client and establishing goals by involving thoughts and behaviour patterns change, which results in a Client taking control of their life.
