Adolescent Therapy 16+

About this Service

Adolescence can be a quite demanding period of life, where changes take place socially, physically, and mentally. It is a period of development where a natural detachment from parents and family can occur, and where peers assume a more significant role.

Despite being a period of change, opportunity, dreams and achievements, it can also be a period for self-doubt, insecurity and isolation. This, in some instances, can manifest itself in anxiety, stress, self-harm and suicide ideation. The aim of therapy is to provide support and help to the adolescent of 16 or over and, therefore, to their family, by identifying the difficulties that are being experienced, the causes behind it and by providing the means to resolve it.
